As one of the confirmed VIP speakers at next Monday afternoon¹s annual BBW Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Conference, Secretary of State Lucia Morariu has agreed to answer a range of questions about legislative changes and government support for development of this key sector. Following an exclusive interview with BBW last week at her office, Morariu discussed some of the challenges facing airlines, hotels and tourism centers all of which she will elaborate upon at the BBW Conference & Awards for Excellence on March 24 at 4pm at the Monte-Nelly Hotel. Among subjects that will be discussed at the event are expansion of routes and services and growing competition within the airline industry; the dawning of the paperless ticket era; proper classification of hotels in Romania; and specific information on availability of EU funding for promotion and tourism facility development; as well as her views on what is infrastructural changes are needed and where to strengthen the travel sector¹s development. Much admired for her wide experience, Morariu offers a unique perspective and important insights. She has successfully developed Eximtour travel agency with her husband as a dynamic family business before devoting herself to public life and supporting growth of the entire industry at the Ministry for SMEs, Commerce, Tourism and Liberal Professions.
