Wizz Air low-cost company has recently launched the online check-in service, valid in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, as well as in Targu Mures.
The new service will gradually be implemented in all airports where Wizz Air operates and will be available in the company’s network until April 1st, 2010. Wizz Air will charge the check-in at the airport after launching the online service.
If a person chooses the airport check-in service at booking, the fee is EUR 5, while for check-in service at the airport on the departure day, the customer has to pay a fee of EUR 10. The online service is free of charge.
Passengers can use the online service accessing wizzair.com site from seven days to 3 hours before departure, while passengers traveling only with hand luggage can go straight to the security check area.
Gyorgy Abran, Wizz Air Chief Commercial Officer, stated that once the service is launched in every airport, 90% of the passengers will choose the online check-in.
Wizz Air transported over 7.8 mil. passengers in 2009, approximately 1.65 mil. traveling on flights from Romania.
