The French hotel chain Accor plans to develop two hotel units in Timisoara. The necessary investment is estimated at USD 28 mil. the project should be completed in 2011.
The deputy prefect of Timis county, Laviniu Bedrosian, stated that the two hotels will be Novotel and Etap.
Bedrosian stated that Accor will create directly 150 new jobs and other 80 jobs indirectly.
Accor plans to expand in Brasov and Cluj-Napoca were hotels could be affiliated under Etap, Ibis or Novotel brands. Locally, Accor chain is present with Novotel, Pullman and Ibis brands.
