Josef Goschy, owner of Unita Turism, owning eight hotels at the seaside, stated that partnerships have been signed with travel agencies in neighbor countries of Romania, in order to attract foreign tourists to seaside hotels of the group.

Goschy considers that the measure will lead to a higher occupancy by 20% during the summer season in seaside hotels, considering that the average occupancy was 70% during week time in July 2009.

According to the National Association of Travel agencies, ANAT, approximately 1.2 mil. tourists arrived in 2009 at the Romanian seaside during summer season, out of which only 50,000 were foreign tourists, arriving through local travel agencies.

In order to increase the hotels attractiveness, the business man will invest EUR 200,000 in modernizing a pool for the hotels in Mamaia resort.
