Tulcea Airport to become international airport

The Romanian Government approved the opening of a border crossing point and a customs office for international passengers and goods traffic on Danube Delta Airport in Tulcea, announced Ioana Muntean, spokesman of the Government.

Also, the Government financially supported Tulcea County Council for modernizing the airport. EUR 7 mil. were allocated in the recent years for different investment objectives of the airport.

Muntean specified that turning Danube Delta Airport into an international airport will contribute to the economic development and tourism in South-Eastern Development Region.
