Trotter Prim, the company managing City Grill restaurant chain, owned by Dragos Petrescu, estimates EUR 10 mil. turnover of from the four restaurants located in the historical center of the capital, Caru’ cu Bere, City Grill, Sport Bar Cantina pub and Bundetot fast-food restaurant. The last two were opened this year.
The strategy for the two units opened this year focuses on attracting more customers.
This year, promotions and marketing campaigns of Trotter Prim increased the customers’ number by 15% compared to 2008.
At present, Buongiorno restaurant in Piata Victoriei and the one located in Baneasa Shopping Center commercial center reported 30% increase of turnover and 50% increase of customers.
In 2010, Trotter Prim plans to open four new units, a brewery, a restaurant and two cafes.
The brewery with a capacity of 400 seats will be named City Grill Beer Garden and will be located in Pache Protopopescu area in Bucharest by the end of the next year, following EUR 1 mil. investment.
The restaurant will become City Grill or Buongiorno, up to the purchases of the company.
Petrescu estimates that the business will increase in 2010, considering that the company will maintain its turnover at EUR 13 mil. this year.
Dragos Petrescu closed all unprofitable units and dismissed approximately 50 employees. At present, the company has 580 employees in 14 units.
