Timisoara Airport: 13% turnover increase in the first four months

In the first four months of this year, Timisoara Airport registered a turnover of EUR 2,370,000, 13% higher compared to the same period last year, but reported stagnation of passengers’ number, according to the balance of the airport issued by the Ministry of Transport.

Total revenues registered 23% increase compared to the same period of 2008, while expenses increased by only 0.07%.

Passengers’ traffic for the analyzed period registered 251,709 persons, slightly decreasing compared to 2008, when the registered traffic was 252,722.

In the first four months in 2009, Traian Vuia Timisoara Airport registered an increase in the number of flights, compared to the similar period last year, registering approximately 7,500 flights, compared to 7,425 flights in 2008.

For 2009, it is estimated a similar traffic value to the one registered in 2008, with a slightly increase by 3% of flights and 7% of transported passengers.
