The Ministry of Tourism will pay EUR 778,000 for carrying out the necessary pre-feasibility studies regarding tourism planning for regions with tourism resources, such as caves and salt mines. Therefore, the Ministry will organize in August an auction to select the company in charge of the works, which are divided in four lots. The funds will be covered by state budget. Each contract will last three months. The contract envisages purchasing architectural services, of specialized and integrated engineering, as well as urban and landscape design services, of testing and technical analysis, according to a release of the institution. The first lot will include performing pre-feasibility studies related to tourism planning of Praid, Slanic Prahova and Cacica salt mines. Contract’s value was estimated to EUR 100,000. The second lot includes carrying out opportunity studies regarding tourism planning of Ponicova, Comarnic, Ialomita, Polovragi and Dambovicioara caves, the planning of sinkhole complex in Ponoarele, of Meledic cave, as well as Prosacului Gallery. The value of the contract is valued at EUR 240,000. The third lot includes pre-feasibility studies for tourism development in general and spa tourism in Snagov and Ostrovul Simian resorts. The estimated value is EUR 190,000. The forth lot envisages tourism development of Tara Fagarasului region, of Toplita and Bilbor hollows located in Harghita county, of several localities in Caras Severin, Cluj and Giurgiu counties as well as several areas in Bihor, Covasna and Brasov counties for which 248.000 EUR will be allocated.
