The manager of Radisson SAS Bucharest: 5 star hotels drop tariffs

Add comment
The global economic situation has an impact on the Romanian 5 star hotel market, implying tariff reduction in the past few months, stated Yilmaz Yildirimlar, the new manager of Radisson SAS in Bucharest but he didn’t specified which was the decrease in absolute or relative terms.

January was the weakest month in the past years for the 5 star hotels and for the hotel market in the Romanian capital, in general. Thus, the average occupancy rate on premium and luxury segment dropped to 50%, following 2 years of significant increases of business for all market players.

Yilmaz Yildirimlar foresees that Radisson SAS will register in 2009 an occupancy rate similar to the other 5 star hotels.
