The Government approved on February 17 the list of programs and investment projects for tourism for 2010, following the proposal of the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, MDRT. The projects will benefit of EUR 40 mil. financing from the state budget. The Governmental decision envisages the investment objectives initiated in 2009 such as continuing to invest in the Ski in Romania program destined for Covasna, Harghita, Hunedoara, Maramures counties and Prahova Valley, or continuing to develop little marinas in Tulcea county, according to the release of the Ministry of Development.
These projects are part of the four national programs of tourism investments, namely Ski in Romania, Developing tourism infrastructure in high mountain area, Sustainable and integrated development of spa tourism resorts and Sustainable and integrated development of Danube Delta tourism area and tourism resorts at the Black Sea seaside.
The new objectives include developing the tourism infrastructure in the seaside resorts from southern seaside and spa resorts, such as Amara, Baile Felix – 1 Mai, as well as planning a tourism marina in Oltenita.
The local public authorities will organize public auctions in order to make these investments and will be responsible for the amount received for implementing the projects.
