The Government approved the set up of the Inter-ministerial Commission for tourism development which will have a consultative role without being a legal person to coordinate and promote the policies of development in tourism.
The Commission will include a representative such us state secretary, within the central public authorities taking part in relevant activities in tourism and will be coordinated by the state secretary in charge of tourism activities within the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism.
The Commission will create the necessary framework to establish legal acts for the development strategies and efficiently allocate the budget resources for developing the tourism infrastructure in Romania.
The main tasks of the Commission envisages productive relationship between public administration authorities in tourism development, approval of national policies and sector strategies in tourism, impelling and accelerating the development and upgrading the tourism infrastructure, sustainable development of tourism, eco tourism and integrating environmental policies into tourism development programs, allocating the necessary financial inter-sector resources, as well as assessing the completion of objectives envisaged.
