The first Natura Trail in Romania opened in Sfantu Gheorghe locality

The Association Friends of Nature International officially opened the first Natura Trail route in Romania in Sfantu Gheorghe, by the occasion of World Environment Day.

Natura Trail troutes are themed trails in protected areas, developed to familiarize visitors with flora, fauna and local habitats in order to increase the level of awareness regarding the protection of nature and landscapes.

Natura Trail project was developed and implemented in partnership with Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority and Apa Nova.

According to Tiberiu Tioc, President of Friends of Nature Romania, Europe already has a 22 Natura Trails network.
