The first Leisure IBE in Romania to be launched at the national Tourism Fair

MerlinX will launch the first Leisure IBE (Internet Booking Engine for holidays) in Romania at the Romania’s Tourism Fair to be held between October 15 and 18 at Romexpo Bucharest.

The product will radically change the selling process of tourism services in Romania, enhancing transparency to all Romanian tourism products within the tourism European markets.

MerlinX will allow B2B connection between operators and travel agencies, so that holiday planners offers are viewed and booked in real time by travel agencies. 

The IBE of MerlinX is the sole integrated solution allowing the automat import of offers provided by Romanian, Hungarian, Austrian or German operators straight in the website of travel agencies, based on the re-sell contracts deals.

The major advantage of a GDS is the access to the right information about the existing tourism packages on country market.

If in case of ticketing, several GDS systems have been available in Romania for ten years, MerlinX is the first leisure GDS represented in Romania, which connects the Romanian operators and travel agencies, stated Andrei Petrescu, MerlinX Romania representative.
