JW Marriott Hotel in Bucharest, 5 star classified, dropped the New Year’s Eve parties in Cucina and Champions restaurants, as a result of low demand on the market. Therefore, out of 950 seats available for the party in the hotel’s restaurants, only 680-700 are on the market. The parties in Grand Ballroom hall, Constanta and Cupola hall are still on schedule. The price for the New Year’s Eve party is EUR 215 per person.
At the 5 star hotel Radisson Blu, 56% of the seats for New Year’s Eve were booked, out of a total number of 480, in the four locations of the hotel.
Also, 70% of the seats for the party to be held at Crowne Plaza hotel are booked at present. This year, the hotel organizes the party in one location with 160 seats.
Therefore, 5 star hotels in the capital could report declining revenues this year from the New Year’s Eve party, by 50% lower compared to last year, down to EUR 500,000, according to the estimates of Ziarul Financiar newspaper.
