Elena Udrea, the Romanian Minister of Tourism, announced that Tarom airlines will operate flights from Bucharest and Cluj towards the seaside, starting May this year. The Minister specified that next week there will be analyzed the possibility of introducing a flight from the Northern Moldavia towards the seaside.
The Mayor of Constanta, Radu Mazare and the Mayor of Mangalia city, Mihai Claudiu Tusac, demanded the Minister of Tourism financial support for organizing summer events, such as the flights or fast boats races.
Also, the club owners located at the seaside demanded the Minister to extend their units schedule after 01.00 a.m. and even to discuss with the Ministry of Education the possibility of modifying the school year, so that parents can spend holidays with their children sooner on the seaside.
Elena Udrea mentioned that the Ministry could provide training programs for tourism employees, organized in Spain, France, Germany, Austria, in order to improve quality services on the Romanian seaside, but also to attract qualified labour force.
