Starting 1st of July, Tarom changed the system of accepting hold luggage from weight criteria to number of pieces. The modification is valid only for flights performed by Tarom with its own aircrafts.

A standard piece of luggage weights 23 kilos maximum and the maximum sum of its dimensions (height + width +length) is 158 cm.

According to Tarom release, business passengers can transport for free three standard pieces of luggage, Economic class passengers can transport for free one standard piece, while Flying Blue passengers owning Elite and Elite Plus cards can transport between two to four pieces of luggage for free, up to traveling class.

The new system includes other facilities for passengers such as children up to 2 years old without seat in the airplane who are entitled to a piece of hold luggage with a weight up to 10 kilos and a maximum sum of dimensions of 115 cm and a flexible perambulator.

Also, for passengers with disabilities the transport of the wheelchair is without charge. More, their pets can also travel for free if the company is previously noticed.

Passengers wanting to transport more pieces of hold luggage can contact Tarom agencies three working days before departure date to benefit of preferential tariffs as the release shows.

The new system does not change the acceptance policy of cabin luggage so that every passengers has the right to transport, no charge, in the passengers cabin one piece of hand luggage with a maximum dimension of 115 cm and weighing no more than 10 kilos and one personal item such as bag, suitcase or laptop.
