Tarom airline envisage increasing traffic and occupancy rate of aircrafts by introducing roundtrip tickets of EUR 50 for all external destinations and EUR 24 one way trip tariffsfor domestic flights, thus competing to those of low-cost operators.
The EUR 50 tickets don’t include airport taxes and are available until the end of the year. The only condition to benefit is booking 30 days in advance of the flight. Tickets are available only on economic class.
Moreover, the tickets depend on the availability of seats, which varies from a destination to another and also on the aircraft type.
Tarom operates on 21 external destinations with own aircrafts, on 14 external destinations in code share with other companies and 10 domestic destinations with own airplanes.
Tarom transported last year approximately 1.9 mil. passengers, 9.8% higher than compared to the previous year.
The estimated turnover for last year is USD 404 mil., 15% higher than compared to the previous year, according to the spokesman of the company.
