In 2009, the number of passengers registered on Suceava Airport increased by approximately 45% compared to 2008, while for this year the authorities of Suceava county plan to start the upgrading works and to increase the number of domestic and external destinations.
Vasile Ilie, Vice-President of Suceava County Council, stated that the revenues from the activity of Suceava Airport doubled in the last 2 years.
At the same time, the management of Suceava airport aims to increase the number of passengers by 40%, up to 45,000.
