Starlight Suiten Hotel, Austrian apart-hotels chain, which owns hotels in Budapest and Vienna, affiliated a project of 78 rooms in Bucharest, developed through an investment of EUR 7 mil. The apart-hotel is part of Metropolis Center project, including office spaces, as well as a commercial area, following an investment of EUR 37 mil., announced by the German investments fund GLL Real Estate and developed by Soravia Austrian company. The apart-hotel, which is to be located on Iancu de Hunedoara boulevard is the first project of this type to be affiliated to a brand. The 78 rooms have areas between 40 and 70 sq m. The complex will have a fitness hall and sauna, stated Georgeta Grecu, resident manager of Starlight Suiten Hotel. The tariffs applied by Starlight are similar to those of a 4 star hotel in the capital. The average tariff is EUR 150. The decision to affiliate to Starlight chain was made due to the experience of the chain in the apart-hotels sector, stated the representatives of Soravia company. Soravia estimates revenues of EUR 900,000 for 2009 and revenues of EUR 1.4 mil. for the first year of operating.
