Starting January 2009, the four star hotel Sofitel in Bucharest will change its brand to Pullman Bucharest World Trade Center, stated Alain D’Addio, Sales Manager within the unit. The hotel maintains the management contract with Accor.
The representative of the unit stated that he isn’t aware of affiliating other hotel to Sofitel brand, which means that Sofitel withdraws from the Romanian market for the moment.
In the first nine months of this year, Sofitel Hotel registered turnover EUR 7.8 mil. In the last 2 years, the company invested approximately EUR 500,000 for renewing the 203 rooms.
Pullman is a 4 star classified brand, part of the Accor portfolio. At present, Pullman has 20 units affiliated, with over 5,100 rooms.
