SIF Transilvania announced that the second development phase of its tourism portfolio will start soon. The second phase is related to greenfield investments, the development of accommodation facilities, which couldn’t be modernized during the first phase. The first project will be the construction of a 4 or 5 star classified hotel in Eforie Nord seaside resort on the location of Vraja Marii Hotel, included in SIF Transilvania portfolio. All hotel rooms will have seaside view and the unit will include a spa center. At the opening of Clepatra hotel in Saturn resort and Bran-Brad-Bega hotel in Eforie Nord, Mihai Fercala, General Manager of SIF Transilvania, stated that the company still has to modernize Adonis Hotel in Saturn and it is likely to also upgrade Neptun Hotel in Eforie Nord. Clepatra and Bran-Brad-Bega hotels were reclassified from 2 to 4 stars following a EUR 12 mil. investment. Furthermore, SIF Transilvania will continue to upgrade spa resorts, as they became profitable over the last years. Fercala stated SIF Transilvania will set up again Oglinzi spa, resort which was well known between the two world wars, if the infrastructure will be abailable such us roads, gas supply, sidewalks and sewerage.
