Traian Badulescu, representative of Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT), stated that over 5,000 Romanian tourists chose luxury packages for winter holidays, starting at EUR 2,000 per person.
According to Badulescu, more and more Romanians choose to spend their vacation in luxury destinations, especially in exotic ones. Thus, this year, over 10,000 Romanian tourists chose luxury cruises.
Badulescu stated that exotic tourism market grows by 30-40% every year and even more for some operators.
The most demanded exotic destinations are Maldives, Mauritius, Bora Bora, Bali, Mexico, Thailand, Kenya or Laponia.
