Romanian tourists will turn to cruises

Add comment
Nicolae Demetriade, representative for Romania of Royal Caribbean, considers that cruises will eventually replace several tourist destinations, preferred by Romanians until now.

Demetriade stated that in 2008, 700 cabins with 2 bed places were sold for Royal Caribbean, at an average price of EUR 1,400-1,500, including 7 nights period and airplane ticket. For 2009, 300 cabins are already booked. Demetriade estimates at least 2,500 passengers during the current year.

Regarding the boats possibility to anchor in Romania, Demetriade explained that this is out of the question as long as Romania doesn’t have a proper infrastructure to ensure disembarkation of 3,500 passengers in half hour.
