Romania lacks a distinct image as country brand, ranking 81st out of 102 countries in the 2009 report of Country Brand Index, CBI, provided by Future Brand Company.
People from different regions of the world know very little of Romania, while the country’s profile is not distinct, shows CBI report, which quantifies one country’s image based on 29 criteria, from history to business environment and economy.
The chapters where Romania ranks in the first half of the tops are natural environment – 19th position, history – 44th place, Hi Tech – 45th place, purchasing power – on 45th place and living standard – 47th.
United States of America ranks first in the CBI top, followed by Canada, Australia, New Zeeland and France.
