On Ocotber 4, the European regional group chose the countries to occupy the four available seats of the group within the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization, WTO.
The four countries nominated from the group side are Romania, Germany, Bulgaria and Hungary, out of a total of 9 candidates, which also included Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Azerbaidjan.
The Executive Council is the decisional forum of WTO. Every two years, elections take place to occupy the 31 seats, divided between the regional groups of states.
