Romania attended the 44th edition of the international tourism fair in Berlin, Internationale Tourismus Borse, ITB, which took place between March 10 and 14.
The Romanian exhibition area, organized by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, lied on 400 sq m and hosted approximately 40 Romanian participants.
According to the Master Plan for Tourism, Germany is the most important market and Romania should focus the promotion on this market, in order to increase the number of foreign tourists in Romania.
ITB is the world’s largest tourism fair lying on an area of 160,000 sq m, with 178,971 visitors, out of which 110,857 are specialists.
