Pullman hotel in the capital, 4 star classified will, register 50% profit drop, compared to 2008, down to approximately EUR 1.5 mil., stated Bruno Vinette, General Manager of Pullman Bucharest.
The main reason for this decrease is tariff fall by approximately 27% between January and September 2009. Vinette considers that rates will equal the 2008 level in 3-4 years from now.
For the current year, average occupancy is expected to reach 56-60%, lower than in 2008, when the hotel reported an occupancy rate of 72%.
In January 2009, Sofitel hotel in Bucharest became Pullman Bucharest World Trade Center.

This year, Pullman invested EUR 500,000 in upgrading the Convention Center conference hall and EUR 400,000 in opening Barbizon restaurant with 64 seats, scheduled for middle October.
At present, Pullman network includes 32 hotels and plans to expand in 59 cities in 23 countries of Europe, Asia and Middle East and Latin America. The network will reach 300 hotels worldwide by 2015.
