On June 25, the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, MDRT, opened Baile Figa located in Bistrita-Nasaud county.
The project to develop Baile Figa benefited of an investment over EUR 1 mil., supported by European funds.
The area of approximately 15 ha includes treatment center, pool with salted water, building with showers and medical facility, supporting hall, landscape planning, sandy beach, access road, walkways, parking lots, terrace and enclosure.
The resources in the region, such as mud and salted water, could be exploited all year long as a result of the investments, according to the press release of MDRT.
The investment was financed within the project of Developing spa potential of salted lakes from North Western - Dej region, carried out through 2005 Phare program.
