On April 17, the Minister of Regional Development and Tourism, Elena Udrea, signed at Miercurea Ciuc, Harghita county, the contract financed through the Regional Operational Program for the project entitled Modernizing mountain rescue in Harghita county.
The project, worth EUR 1,869,597.66, out of which EUR 1,473,386.24 are non-reimbursable European funds, will be implemented within 20 months.
The main objectives are to construct and provide necessary facilities for four mountain rescue bases in Harghita Bai, Lacul Rosu, Harghita Madaras and Toplita, as well as providing the adequate outfit for the four teams of rescue personnel, who will operate within the four bases.
