Otopeni Airport: 14% lower traffic in the first semester

In the first semester of the year, passengers’ traffic declined by 14% on Henri Coanda - Otopeni International Airport, compared to the same period last year, down to 2,016,199 passengers.

Out of the total, 1,779,128 traveled towards international destinations, while 237,071 towards domestic destinations.

The number of landings and take offs increased by 1.5%, up to 35,054 movements, compared to the first semester in 2008.

In the first six months of the year, the turnover of the airport stagnated at EUR 31.98 mil., while profit declined by 13%, down to EUR 7.63 mil.
