In November this year, airplane tickets sales dropped 12% compared to the same period in 2007. Total revenues registered EUR 31 mil. stated Carmen Botez, General Secretary of the National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT).
In January-November 2008, sales increased by 13% compared to the same period in 2007.
According to the data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the agencies sold airplane tickets of EUR 212.5 mil. in the first six months.
The data includes only tickets sold by traditional airlines without including the low-cost companies.
