Niki low-cost operator, founded by Niki Lauda Formula 1 champion, will perform flights on Bucharest - Vienna route, round trip, starting February 2010.
The company targeted launching the route towards Bucharest few years ago and considers that the emergent markets such as Romania have a significant long term development potential in spite of the economic downturn.
The company will operate with an Airbus A320 aircraft from Henri Coanda International Airport Otopeni. Tickets will be put on sale in October this year. The prices for a flight start at EUR 29, taxes not included.
Christian Lesjak, Sales, Marketing and Planning Manager of Niki, airline stated the company plans to transport 70,000 passengers on this route in 2010.
