Add comment
Grigore Baboianu, Governor of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, RBDD, stated that, in spite of the economic crisis, the number of tourists in Danube Delta could increase next year as people choosing holidays in the Delta do not spend too much money, but enjoy spending time in nature, while fishing.

Paula Giurea, representative of Tulcea County Council, specified that 22,110 persons visited the Danube Delta since the tourism season started, according to the available data.

According to the official data, in 2006, the County Council collected EUR 28,373 from the entrance tax to the Delta, in 2007 EUR 42,549, while last year this amount went up to EUR 64,952.
