As a result of low tariffs and diversified supply, resorts in Hungary attract more and more Romanian tourists. For this year winter holidays the number of tourists in Hungarian resorts is likely to double compared to last year.
More, hotel owners in Hajduszoboszlo, located at approximately 50 km from Bors border point, appreciate that the number of Romanian tourists choosing to spend the weekends in this region increased by over 40% this year.
For Christmas, hotel owners in Hajduszboszlo have packages starting at EUR 152 for six days and can exceed EUR 500 in 4 or 5 star hotels.
Travel agencies in Cluj foresee that the number of people from Transilvania region who will spend Christmas in Hungary will be double compared to 2007, in spite of the economic crisis.
