According to the announcement on e-licitatie.ro website, the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism will allocate EUR 847,675, VAT not included, in designing, creating, implementing and maintenance of information and orientation signs for 1,215 tourist attractions.
The deadline to submit tenders or applications is March 15, 2010.The applicants should meet certain requirements, such as presenting a contract of works already completed, valued at EUR 250,000 at minimum and an average annual turnover in the last 3 years of at least EUR 1,000,000.
The participation guarantee is valued at EUR 16,950, while the performance guarantee represents 10% of the contract’ value, VAT not included. In 2009, the Ministry of Tourism has initiated an auction for 3,750 signs, worth EUR 498,750, in order to develop the information system for the monuments included in the UNESCO worldwide patrimony.
