Add comment

In the first four months of this year, some hotels in Bucharest faced a 10% decrease of revenues on MICE segment, due to the reduction of expenditure budget of companies. Decreases are expected in the second half of the year, as well, as a result of the global crisis.

Ramada Convention Center, including Ramada Plaza Bucharest and Ramada Bucharest Parc hotels registered 10% decrease of revenues generated by MICE segment in the first months, especially conferences.

Crowne Plaza Hotel, controlled by George Copos businessman, registered a 5-7% fall of MICE number between January and April, especially trainings, workshops and conferences.

InterContinental hotel registered decreasing revenues by approximately 10% in the first four months this year, compared to last year, due to the lower capacity within the unit and the economic crisis.
