Marriott Hotel: F&B generated 55% of the revenues in the first semester

Food&Beverage segment of Marriott Hotel in Bucharest generated approximately 55% of the total revenues in the first semester, compared to 45% generated by room tariffs.

Regarding the strategy for the third trimester of the year, the weakest for hotel owners in Bucharest, mainly counting on corporate customers, Marriott Bucharest will count on promotions.

In the second quarter of the year, Marriott International hotel chain reported a profit drop by 76% down to USD 37 mil.

Company’s revenues declined by 20% in the same period, down to USD 2.63 bn.

This year, the company will open over 30,000 rooms, following USD 325 mil. investment, over 50% lower compared to 2008.
