According to the data released on April 3 by the National Institute of Statistics, in February this year, the number of foreign tourists arrived in Romania dropped to 72,500 from 89,500 in the same period of 2008.
Arrivals and overnight stays in accommodation facilities in Romania dropped by 15% and 19.8%, respectively, in the first two months of the current year.
