Iaki Hotel in Mamaia resort, 4 star classified, estimates a turnover of EUR 2.9 mil. for the current year, increasing by 30% compared to 2009, stated Anca Nedea, General Manger of the hotel.
Anca Nedea stated that the hotel budgeted an increase in revenues by 41% generated from accommodation services and by 19% on F&B segment. The strategy applied from the beginning of the year, since Nedea is in charge with the management of the complex, was to cut accommodation tariffs, a more opened flexible and friendly approach, towards clients, especially on the MICE segment, as the crisis impacted mostly this market segment. For the current year, the hotel’s representatives planned to develop a new hotel wing, but the investment was postponed due to the worldwide crisis.
