The 5 star hotel Howard Johnson Grand Plaza in Bucharest reported EUR 8 mil. turnover in 2009, declining by 40% compared to 2008. For the current year, the turnover is estimated to increase by 10%, up to approximately EUR 9 mil., as a result of the expected demand increase on the hotel market.
The occupancy reached 50% last year, decreasing by 9% compared to 2008, while for the present year the hotel’s management foresees a slightly increase by 2-3%.
