Add comment
Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel in the capital, 5 star classified estimates for this year that both the average occupancy rate as well as the turnover will be 10 to 15% lower than in 2008, stated Peter Martin, manager of Howard Johnson.

Peter Martin stated that in January and February sales were 15% under the initial estimates.

In spite of the negative estimates, prices’ decrease is not a viable solution in the opinion of Howard Johnson hotel’s representative.

Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel didn’t cut personnel to reduce costs but froze salaries and employment in 2009. At present the unit has 200 employees.

Food & Beverage segment contributes by approximately 30-35% to the hotel revenues.
