In order to attract more guests, hotels in Bucharest started to promote their units on Facebook and Twitter social networks.
InterContinental, Howard Johnson Grand Plaza, Crowne Plaza, Grand Hotel Continental, Carol Parc, Phoenicia Hotel, Ramada Plaza, JW Marriott, Golden Tulip Times, NH Bucuresti Hotel, Moxa Hotel and Caro Hotel are among the hotels who had the initiative of online promotion.
There are several reasons to develop the strategy which ensures the presence on these promotion channels of a hotel unit or a small provincial hotel or an international hotel brand, stated Cristina Vladau, marketing consultant in tourism within Turismark.
Vladu stated that in 2010, the market players within hospitality industry has started to rethink their marketing budget and treat carefully their customers in order to make them loyal.
The representatives of hotel units post hotel’s pictures, announce events to be hold within the unit and answer questions of potential guests on the pages created.
