Daniel Vasilescu, president of National Federation of Tourism Owners (FPTR), foresees for the current year that the average occupancy rate of hotels in the capital will decrease by approximately 5%, up to 65%, as a result of the decreasing number of business tourists, in the context of the economic crisis.
Vasilescu considers that hotel owners will start to make the most of weekends and will create tourism packages in this sense, such as offering festive dinner free of charge or lower accommodation tariffs.
