In the first six months of the year, Hilton Sibiu hotel, 5 star classified, reported EUR 1.85 mil. in revenues, more than twice the result of the same period last year, when the hotel registered revenues of EUR 870,000.
Hilton Sibiu has been operating under the 5 star brand of Hilton hotel chain for a year, since the affiliation of the unit in July 2009. Nicolae Minea businessman invested EUR 25 mil. in developing the hotel, which was later affiliated to the Hilton hotel chain and estimates EUR 5 mil. in revenues for the current year.
The occupancy registered in the first semester was 58%, increasing compared to 27% in the same period last year, stated Dana Modrescu, Marketing & PR Manager at Hilton Sibiu.
The accommodation contributes by 44% to the total turnover of the hotel, while food & beverage segment accounts for 56%, stated Modrescu.
