Henri Coanda Bucharest Otopeni International Airport (AIHCB) registered over 5 mil. passengers’ traffic last year, approximately 12% higher than in 2007, when there 4.5 mil. passengers were registered, stated the airport’s representatives.
August was the most crowded month in 2008, with 524,100 passengers, while the highest growth compared to 2007 was registered in January 2008, 30% higher than in 2007.
Domestic traffic increased by 21.07% compared to 2007. Roundly 500,000 persons chose airline transportation on Henri Coanda Bucharest Otopeni International Airport.
During 2008, there were 71,137 aircrafts movements on the two runways, 7.24% higher than in 2007.
