Henri Coanda International Airport Bucharest: 11% decline in passengers traffic in 2009

In 2009, Henri Coanda International Airport Bucharest reported 4,483,661 passengers, by 11% lower than compared to 2008, 5,064,230 passengers there were registered.

Compared to 2008, the number of aircrafts movements increased by 1.5%, up to 72,697 movements.

Domestic passengers traffic represented 496,391 passengers in 2009, compared to 497,253 in 2008.

The passengers traffic in the European Union countries accounts for 84% of the total traffic reported in 2009 on Henri Coanda International Airport, while 16% of the traffic was generated by the flights outside EU.
