Henri Coanda Bucharest International Airport: 14% decrease of passengers' number in S1

In the first semester of 2009, the number of passengers transiting Henri Coanda Bucuresti International Airport, AIHCB. reached 2,016,199, declining 14% compared to the same period in 2008, when it registered over 2.3 mil. passengers, stated the airport’s representatives.

The number of aircrafts movements increased by 1.5% in the specified period compared to the same period last year, up to 35,054.

Airport’s representatives reported EUR 32,209,000 turnover for the first semester, similar to the one registered in the same period in 2008.

AICHB registered 5,004,958 passengers in 2008, increasing by 11.64% compared to 2007, when the company registered 4,482,771 passengers.

In 2008, on the two runways of the airport, there were registered 71,137 aircraft movements, by 7.24% more than in 2007, meaning that, at approximately 7 minutes, a plane landed or took off from AIHCB.
