Radu Enache businessman, President of Continental Hotels hotel chain, estimates that Grand Hotel Continental, 5 star classified, will register EUR 2.6 mil. turnover in the first year of operating and an occupancy of 60%. Grand Hotel Continental has 59 rooms and 6 apartments.
The value includes both revenues from accommodation as well as other services, such as fine dining restaurant, bar, sweet-shop and bistro, specified Enache.
Enache forecasts that Continental group, including 14 hotels, will generate EUR 24.5 mil. turnover in 2010, increasing from EUR 21 mil. expected in 2009, while the occupancy is expected to go up from 50 to 60%.
Grand Hotel Continental re-opened on December 2, following investments in modernizing and re-classifying works, worth EUR 8 mil.
