Golden Tulip will open six hotels in the next 2 years in Romania

Golden Tulip hotel chain will affiliate 6 units in Romania in the next 2 years, of which 3 hotels will open this year in Bucharest, Cluj and Moeciu de Sus. Other 3 units will open in 2010, stated Paul Marasoiu, regional manager of the group for Eastern Europe.

The hotel in Cluj which will open in May this year and will be 4 star classified, comprising 109 rooms. The value of the investment reaches EUR 11 mil.

In June, the Golden Tulip complex will open in Moeciu de Sus locality. The complex includes a Tulip Inn hotel with 66 rooms and a series of villas, additional units with 40 rooms in total. The investment in this project reaches EUR 10 mil. 

The unit in Bucharest is scheduled for opening by the end of the current year. Golden Tulip Palladium will be 4 star classified, comprising 144 rooms. The necessary investment is approximately of  EUR 16 mil.

At the same time, the company plans to expand in Sibiu and Botosani, envisaging the opening of a Tulip Inn hotel in each city, as well as in Iasi, with a unit to be operated under Golden Tulip brand.
