Add comment

Gloria Jean’s cafe chain maintains its plans to expand in the country, but decided to drastically reduce expenditures, as a consequence of unsatisfactory results for the first three months of the year, stated Radu Marinescu, General Manager of Gloria Jean’s.

New units will open until the end of the year, in Braila, Focsani and Bacau. In Bucharest, new cafes will open in malls currently under developing, stated Marinescu. He stated the new locations will be operated under franchise system, the contracts being already signed.

At present, the cafe chain has five units in Bucharest and one in Pitesti.

In 2008, Gloria Jean’s registered a turnover of approximately EUR 1.5 mil.
